Some rather interesting information concerning the popularity of the Grand Vitara. According to translations it appears that the Cantonale Switzerland Police have adopted the new Grand Vitara into their line of official police vehicles. The reason for choosing the Grand Vitara was based on its outstanding price and achievement ratio. They also enjoyed its 4x4 capabilities.

It would be great to find out if any modifications have been made besides the obvious. Any engine mods? Hopefully we will be able to check some more info on this in the future.
