Just another minivan!
Suzuki just follows the trend -> CR-V lost the spare, Rav-4 is loosing the spare, and now Suzuki!
3 door is hideous without a spare!

Where is the spare tyre? There is not enough space underneath the GV to fit one. I hope they have not resorted to using a space saver.

Hi all,
It looks like it can't go off-road - I am glad I have my 2007 4x4 GV.
Cheers,

When somebody showed a GV without the spare tire a lot of people raved about it and now the it is comming everybody is whining. Such is life. I still like better the one with the spare tire. Regards!!!

The no-spare kit that Semco is selling is different and looks much better. It has a little spoiler below the window, new fat bumper, and dual exhaust. I still prefer to have a spare.

Same here, the extra spare tire makes it better.
Probably if they drop this (without rear spare) version, the car might be more appealing. Making it like a muscular MPV.
In my country, Toyota has 2 vehicles that is exactly the same. Rav4 (with rear spare) & the Vanguard (without the rear spare), but the other parts of the car are exactly identical!

I cannot get the point of removing the spare tire and keeping a door that still open sideway.

I always wished the spare tire was a full sized alloy, not a steel rim.

I think it looks fine, but a 4wd can't be taken seriously if it doesn't have a full size spare.

Official Update:
That is NOT the new/next Grand Vitara.
It is the Spare Tyreless version for EUROPE which will start production in May this year.

Totally agree Rescue55,I picked up an alloy from ebay, now i can rotate all 5 tyres. The good thing is the hard cover still fits over for the winter. Regards,GV1888.
