Hi Ya all,
As a recent owner of a Brand new 09 2.4L petrol GV I just had to join this Forum. My ride is currently in at the dealer Having the evaporator removed to fix the problem of AC water leaking into the Off side (In Australia) ,LH any where else, sill cavity. This fills up to a level where it then starts to fill up the rear foot well.
Has any one else had this happen to their ride. It does not seen like a common problem as one of the biggest Suzuki dealers in SE Queensland has not come across it before.
BTW I got the first Nocture Blue model delivered to Australia. How long has This colour been available in other countries.
Regards
KPT72
P.S I feel so lonely without it.

Welcome to the forum!

I don't know how common the problem is but it certainly was mentioned before.

Post pictures of your GV later. I'd like to see the colour.

Most pictures I have is when we,ve been out playing. i.e filthy dirty. I'll see if I can find a clean one and work out how to post it.
I've had a search around on this Forum and couldn't find any mention of the Evaporator problem.
Will keep up to date as I get info from the dealer.

Just got off the phone from the dealer. They have been instructed to seal the Evaporator box with sealant then retest. Must say that installs me with a huge amount of confidence
Getting info out of these people is like extracting teeth.
Looks like I am going to be without my baby for another 5 days at least.
Just as well I didn't make plans to go away for our nations holiday.

picked up my Baby this morning. No apology. gave me the keys then searched the carpark looking for my car, . Found it, parked in, so i wasn't going anywhere yet Aparantly moving cars is beneath the Service adviser so I have to wait till the apprentice gets to work before i can get my car out Car is filthy hand prints shit split on it etc go in to tell the service adviser but they are too busy to even achknowledge I was there. Just as well as by this time I'm ready to explode.
I now have an appointment with the service manager tomorrow.
Long story short it was leaking from the seal between the evaporator box and the outlet tube. They sealed it with Toyota Black. This took them 7 working days to acomplish.
I don't think they will get my scheduled service business or a sale when I upgrade.

There is several reports that the little hose/tube that goes from the evap box to engin bay to evacuate the water gets clogged, some water accumulates there, verify that hose/tube.

Thanks for the tip Michael. They did state on the warranty Invoice that they checked the tube for blockages and found it to be clear. I have not seen water drip from the evaporator tube since picking it up. Weather hear at the moment is in the low to mid 30 degree celcius at 85 - 95% humidity so A/C is working all the time. So she is booked back in for the 8th of Feb to have it "looked" at again.
After seeing them this morning and talking to Suzuki Auto Australia, they have agreed to replace the carpet (Ex Japan but at least on order) offer up a Loan car whilst in for repair and a full Wash and Detail. So I guess we are having a win. I fell much better now any way.
